Introduction to Aerial Arts

This is our ever-popular 6-week class designed for people who want to try aerial circus arts for the first time. Students will be instructed on the trapeze, vertical rope, and aerial silks.
*Please note- students must attend a minimum of 4 out of the 6 weeks to move on to Level 1

Beginning Aerial Silks

Focus your circus training on the dramatic aerial silks. Various styles of silks will be used, including a knotted silk or ‘hammock.’ The class is geared towards beginners without any experience or students who have only taken the Introduction to Aerial Arts class.
*Please note- students must attend a minimum of 4 out of the 6 weeks to move on to Level 1

Beginning Aerial Hoop

Beginners Welcome!

The Aerial Hoop, sometimes referred to as lyra or cerceaux, is a dynamic aerial apparatus that combines strength, flexibility, and creative movement. In this beginner level class, students will learn vocabulary on the Aerial Hoop as well as focus on flexibility and conditioning on the Static Trapeze. All are essential to technical virtuosity on the Hoop! The class is geared towards beginners without any experience or students who have only taken the Introduction to Aerial Arts class.

Prerequisite is Introduction to Aerial Arts, Beginner Aerial Silks, or prior aerial experience.  Ask your instructor if you are not sure which class to sign up for.

Handstands

Handstands

A hallmark of an acrobat, handstands are a challenging exercise in core and shoulder strength and flexion.

Build and improve your handstand ability through exercises and conditioning tailored to work specific muscles, flexibility and balance.   Suitable for all levels.

Straps 4 Strength

STRAPS 4 STRENGTH

Prerequisite: Healthy shoulders & ability to do two consecutive pull ups.
A demanding upper body conditioning and technique class. The focus of this class is shoulder strengthening and injury prevention. We recommend that you bring two tensor ankle bandages to protect your wrists. Class size limited to 4

Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga is an asana class that uses low aerial hammocks to help hold difficult poses, build strength, deepen the stretch, and decompress the spine. This class is for all levels. No prior yoga or aerial experience is required. Taught by an experienced Aerial Instructor and Yoga Practitioner, we are delighted to offer you quality instruction in a safety-conscious circus studio.
Drop-In students accepted on a first come-first serve basis, if space is available. Advanced notice preferred.

Aerial Fitness & Cross Conditioning

Aerial Fitness & Cross Conditioning

Build your muscles and strengthen your core using the trapeze, rope, silks and more. This is the perfect class to take before Introduction to Aerial Arts or Beginning Aerial Silks. If you just want a fun and challenging workout – this is the class for you! We will also be using medicine & stability balls, balance boards, and free weights in our quest for a stronger, leaner, fitter body. No experience necessary.

If you are a current Firefly student you may come to the gym for training time. You will be supervised, but not instructed. This is your time to practice what you have learned in class and build strength on your own.

PLEASE NOTE: Open Studio is for students 18 years & up and Pre-Performance students only.

Wednesdays: 3:00 – 5:00pm
Sundays: 4:00 – 6:00pm
Cost: $10 per session.

Please note that students must complete the Introduction to Aerial Arts class or Beginning Aerial Silks before they may attend Open Gym.
